As part of its Undergraduate Program, the International Relations Institute of PUC-Rio (IRI/PUC-Rio) organizes seminars every semester. The topics are diverse and relevant to the International Relations academic field. For the 2017.1 semester, the seminar of the Program will have as its topic “O Desenvolvimento que Queremos: Bolsa Família e os Amores e Ódios no Brasil”.

1st BRICS Think-Tank Forum on Pragmatic Cooperation

The Center for BRICS Studies of Fudan University organizes the “1st BRICS Think-Tank Forum on Pragmatic Cooperation”. The theme of the forum will be “Globalization in the Time of Transition: Shared opportunities, challenges and responsabilities for BRICS” and it will be held on May 25th and 26th, 2017, at Fudan University’s campus in Shangai. 

The T20 Summit: Global Solutions

The Think 20 Summit will be held in Berlin, Germany, on May 29th and 30th, 2017 and has as its motto “Global Solutions”. The Summit will conclude the Think 20 Dialogue (T20), a forum of international think tanks associated to the G20 process.

Rumo ao encontro do G2: compromissos brasileiros e perspectivas

On June 1st, 2017 the Socio-Environmental Platform of the BRICS Policy Center will promote the round-table “Rumo ao encontro do G2: compromissos brasileiros e perspectivas”.

The event will count with the participation of Ambassador Carlos Márcio Cozendey, the Brazilian "sherpa" in G20 and is aiming to promote the debate between scholars, policy-makers and members of the civil society about Brazilian requests, challenges and expectations, concerning the upcoming summit, that will be held in July in Germany.

From June 10th to 13th, 2017, the Preparatory Committee for BRICS Political Parties, Think-tanks and Civil Society Organizations Forum 2017, International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), China Council for BRICS Think-tank Cooperation (CCBTC) and the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE) will organize the “BRICS Political Parties, Think-tanks and Civil Society Organizations” forum.
