As part of its Undergraduate Program, the International Relations Institute of PUC-Rio (IRI/PUC-Rio) organizes seminars every semester. The topics are diverse and relevant to the International Relations academic field. For the 2017.1 semester, the seminar of the Program will have as its topic “O Desenvolvimento que Queremos: Bolsa Família e os Amores e Ódios no Brasil”.
The Center for BRICS Studies of Fudan University organizes the “1st BRICS Think-Tank Forum on Pragmatic Cooperation”. The theme of the forum will be “Globalization in the Time of Transition: Shared opportunities, challenges and responsabilities for BRICS” and it will be held on May 25th and 26th, 2017, at Fudan University’s campus in Shangai.
On May 26th, 2017, the IV UNDP Seminar about the 2030 Agenda, whose topic is “Partnership for Integration, Innovation and Inclusion”, will be held in Rio de Janeiro.
The Think 20 Summit will be held in Berlin, Germany, on May 29th and 30th, 2017 and has as its motto “Global Solutions”. The Summit will conclude the Think 20 Dialogue (T20), a forum of international think tanks associated to the G20 process.
On June 1st, 2017 the Socio-Environmental Platform of the BRICS Policy Center will promote the round-table “Rumo ao encontro do G2: compromissos brasileiros e perspectivas”.
The event will count with the participation of Ambassador Carlos Márcio Cozendey, the Brazilian "sherpa" in G20 and is aiming to promote the debate between scholars, policy-makers and members of the civil society about Brazilian requests, challenges and expectations, concerning the upcoming summit, that will be held in July in Germany.

The BRICS Policy Center will hold the Release of the 2016 edition of the Social Panorama of Latin America, in partnership with the World Center for Sustainable Development (Centre RIO+/PNUD) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
On July 17th, 2017, the Network of Southern Think Tanks (NeST) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will host the debate “Data for SDG 17: How to measure contributions towards agenda 2030”, a side event to the “ECOSOC High-Level Segment” that happens at the same day.
