Cassiolato (IE/UFRJ) e Luis Manuel Fernandes (IRI/PUC-Rio e FINEP). O debate foi moderado por Paula Cruz (IRI/PUC-Rio) e abrangeu os principais tópicos na agenda atual da política brasileira de inovação.

BRICS Intellectual Property Forum

The eight BRICS Intellectual Property Forum (BIPF) will be held, this year, in London, United Kingdom. Between the days of 21 and 22 November, 2016, discussion tables will be organized with focus on protection of intellectual property, and, particularly, on the latest policies related to intellectual property and on the development of laws on the topic in the BRICS countries.

The Role of BRICS in the Evolution of the New Environmental Governance

The BRICS Policy Center, represented by its General Supervisor, prof. Paulo Esteves, and by its researcher, prof. Sérgio Veloso, participates, between December 07th and 8th, 2016, in the event “Os BRICS e a Política Externa Brasileira em Perspectiva. Um Balanço Crítico”. The event is co-organized by ActionAid Brasil, Rede Brasileira de Integração dos Povos (REBRIP) and the Instituto Brasileiro de Análises Sociais e Econômicas (IBASE). 

BRICS Policy Center’s Colloquiums Will Approach the Environment and International Organizations

The BRICS Policy Center will hold on the 14th November, 2016, two seminars (one after the other) with Mónica Ródriguez de Luna (University of Hamburg) and Melina Breitegger (University of Stellenbosch). Both the researchers are in the Center through the programme Power and Region in a Multipolar Order (PRIMO).

Climate Financing, Development, Poverty and Inequality: Where are we and where are we going?

On February 22nd, 2017, the BRICS Policy Center (BPC) held the workshop “Finanças Climáticas, Desenvolvimento, Pobreza e Desigualdade: Onde estamos e para onde vamos?”. The event was an initiative of the Socio Environmental Platform of BPC, the Public Interest Management (GIP) and Development Initatives (DI) and had the participation of Rafael de Soler, from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mariela di Ciommo, from DI, Alice Amorim, from GIP, Paulo Esteves, General Supervisor of BPC and Maureen Santos, from the Socio Environmental Platform.
