No dia 16 de abril de 2015, o núcleo de Sistemas de Inovação e Governança do Desenvolvimento do Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas BRICSrealizou o colóquio "O Futuro da Política de Inovação no Brasil: desafios e oportunidades", com os professores José E. Cassiolato (IE/UFRJ) e Luis Manuel Fernandes (IRI/PUC-Rio e FINEP). O debate foi moderado por Paula Cruz (IRI/PUC-Rio) e abrangeu os principais tópicos na agenda atual da política brasileira de inovação.
The eight BRICS Intellectual Property Forum (BIPF) will be held, this year, in London, United Kingdom. Between the days of 21 and 22 November, 2016, discussion tables will be organized with focus on protection of intellectual property, and, particularly, on the latest policies related to intellectual property and on the development of laws on the topic in the BRICS countries.
On November 22nd and 23rd, 2016, the seminar “The Role of BRICS in the Evolution of the New Environmental Governance” will be held at PUC-Rio’s auditório B8 (auditorium B8), located on the 8th floor of the Frings building.
The next event of the Network of Southern Think Tanks Africa is arranged to occur between 29 November and 1 December, 2016, in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting is co-organised by the Wits School of Governance and partners of the BRICS Policy Center, Oxfam and Saiia.
The BRICS Policy Center, represented by its General Supervisor, prof. Paulo Esteves, and by its researcher, prof. Sérgio Veloso, participates, between December 07th and 8th, 2016, in the event “Os BRICS e a Política Externa Brasileira em Perspectiva. Um Balanço Crítico”. The event is co-organized by ActionAid Brasil, Rede Brasileira de Integração dos Povos (REBRIP) and the Instituto Brasileiro de Análises Sociais e Econômicas (IBASE).
The BRICS Policy Center will hold on the 14th November, 2016, two seminars (one after the other) with Mónica Ródriguez de Luna (University of Hamburg) and Melina Breitegger (University of Stellenbosch). Both the researchers are in the Center through the programme Power and Region in a Multipolar Order (PRIMO).
