The city of Rio de Janeiro will host the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting

On February 21 and 22, the city of Rio de Janeiro will be hosting the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting with Ambassador Mauro Vieira as host.

The meeting is expected to focus on reforming global governance, with an emphasis on democratizing the UN Security Council and the Bretton Woods Institutions (IMF and World Bank), which were established in the post-World War II era and no longer reflect the current distribution of power in contemporary international politics.
