On April 12, the BPC research group “Modern Slavery Research Centre” organized the event “The Challenge of Promoting Fundamental Rights at Work in Regional and Global Supply Chains”. The event took place in a hybrid format and sought to discuss the new challenges of global and local supply chains in promoting decent work, the role of the OECD, ILO and UN guidelines in promoting fundamental rights at work and the innovations of the Brazilian judiciary in integrating these issues. Dr. Silvia Pinheiro, coordinator of the research center, and Dr. Renato Bignami, fellow of the BPC, organized the debate, which also included several other experts on the subject.
