The BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio received a visit from Professor Weidong Zhang, a researcher at Winona State University (USA) and a Fulbright scholar in Brazil.

During the meeting with the director of the BRICS Policy Center (BPC), Marta Fernández, topics related to BRICS, Brazil-China relations, and recent transformations in global governance were discussed, with emphasis on the role of the Global South in the contemporary international context. The conversation also addressed Brazilian society’s perceptions of BRICS and the current challenges of multilateralism in a scenario of increasing geopolitical tensions.

The visit is part of the BRICS Policy Center’s efforts to strengthen international dialogues and promote pluralistic reflections on South-South cooperation, development, and global governance.
