The BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio becomes part of the international network “Article 109 Coalition”

The BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio has joined the Article 109 Coalition, an international network that brings together civil society organizations, think tanks, and academic institutions committed to strengthening multilateralism and debating the renewal of the UN Charter.

The coalition takes as its reference Article 109 of the UN Charter, which foresees the possibility of a conference to revise the founding document of the United Nations, seeking to reflect on how international institutions can respond to contemporary challenges in a more representative, inclusive, and effective way.

The participation of BPC/PUC-Rio reinforces our commitment to the production of critical knowledge on global governance, reform of international institutions, and the role of the Global South in building a more democratic and plural international order.
