The 13th edition of “Coffee with BRICS,” promoted by the BRICS Policy Center’s Socio-environmental Platform, took place on April 16th.

The event featured Sabrina Fernandes, author, researcher, and independent consultant specializing in political ecology, just transitions, Latin America, and internationalism. The meeting saw significant audience engagement, with broad participation and interest in the proposed debates.

The theme of this edition was the growth of armed conflicts around the world and their implications for climate change.

Throughout the debate, the connections between geopolitical crises and the climate crisis, the socio-environmental impacts caused by wars and territorial disputes, and the challenges of building international responses based on cooperation, peace, and climate justice were discussed.
