Social Participation in Development Projects

This briefing focuses on the centralization of social participation as an essential component for the achievement of development objectives, broadly understood as “an organized intervention in collective issues according to certain standards of improvement”. The briefing compiles some of the main M&E guidelines and strategies practiced by Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and finally details a set of participatory methods and International Relations literature in order to offer research support to analysts, project managers, consultants and researchers in the field who seek to promote more participatory, inclusive and intersectional M&E methods.
