Promoting Industrialization in the Global South in a New Global Landscape

The BRICS Policy Center (PUC-Rio) is part of an international research project on industrialization in the Global South, coordinated by the Global South Research Centre (GSRC), affiliated with China’s Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD).

As part of this initiative, BPC Director Professor Marta Fernández contributed to the report “Promoting Industrialization in the Global South in a New Global Landscape,” which analyzes the trajectories and challenges of industrialization in different countries of the Global South.

The BPC’s contribution focuses on the Brazilian case, with the participation of researchers Maria Elena Rodriguez, Ana Garcia, and Lucas Carames.

The project also brings together other publications on development finance, South-South cooperation, global value chains, and industrialization in different regions, strengthening the international dialogue on development from the perspective of the Global South.
