Beyond the North-South Divide: Triangular Cooperation in the New Development Cooperation

International development cooperation has been changing rapidly during the last two decades. Shifts in international power constellations and a trend towards an  increasing multipolarity are reflected in development cooperation institutions and settings. A group of middle-income countries – among them, the BRICS – have significantly stepped up their development cooperation programs, and managed to establish themselves as important actors in the international aid landscape.
