Professor Isabel Rocha de Siqueira from IRI/PUC-Rio and members of ACD-Rede organized the meeting “Thinking about development from the perspective of territory and participatory methodologies”
On May 9th, ACD-Rede hosted the meeting “Thinking about development from the perspective of territory and participatory methodologies” at the João XXIII Cultural Center in Botafogo. The meeting was organized by Professor Isabel Rocha de Siqueira and members of ACD-Rede and brought together collectives from the Baixada Fluminense and various territories of Rio de Janeiro involved in building local agendas for sustainable development. The initiative was a feedback session on research and outreach, resulting from dialogues that have been taking place since 2025 within the context of projects funded by CNPq, Faperj, and the Ford Foundation, the latter in partnership with the BRICS Policy Center’s Socio-environmental Platform.
The meeting also continues the collective work and aims at the next steps of the projects in a spirit of active listening and collaboration. ACD-Rede thanks the collectives, fellow professors, all undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni involved for their trust and partnership.
