Country systems for socioenvironmental protection in the amazon region

On December 17 and 18, 2018, BRICS Policy Center’s Director Paulo Esteves attended the seminar “Country systems for socioenvironmental protection in the amazon region”. Hosted by IASS, in Potsdam, the event was composed of three roundtables and one workshop.

Professor Paulo Esteves spoke in the roundtable “Socioenvironmental Protection in Brazil: the challenges ahead”. The other roundtables covered Socioenvironmental Protection in other south-american countries, such as Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru. The meeting was closed on the second day, with the workshop “Monitoring Country Systems for socioenvironmental protection in the Amazon region”.
