GSUM WINTER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS SUCCESS

It is with great pleasure that GSUM announces the success of its 2014 Winter School Applications. We have received more than 40 applications from outstanding candidates, highly qualified academics, post graduate students, and practitioners, of more than 10 different nationalities. Applications came from all the different regions of the Global South and from the rest of the World (please check the chart below).

We received applications from the following countries: Argentina, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, India, Kenya, Philippines, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and United States.

The GSUM Winter School is a two weeks intensive academic and training program on conflict resolution and international mediation taking place in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Students will have the opportunity to explore issues and experiences concerning specifically the Global South. The courses are conducted by renowned specialists, eminent scholars and practitioners.
