THE BRICS POLICY CENTER GOES TO CHINA
The Supervisor General of the BRICS Policy Center, Prof. Paulo Esteves, undertook a journey to China, where he participated between 7-9 November, 2016, in the event “South-South Cooperation Providers and SDG17: Accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals Achievements”. The international workshop was organised by the Development Programme of the United Nations, China (UNDP), by theChina Academy of International Trade and Cooperation (CAITEC), and by the Network of Southern Think Tanks (NeST).
Prof. Esteves participated in the panel “SSC and its uniqueness from other countries”, whose objective was to illustrate the unique characteristics of South-South Cooperation (CSS) at the state level to share experiences about the CSS through specific examples.
On the days following the event, Prof. Esteves went to Shanghai, where he participated in an interview with the director of the New Development Bank, also known as the Bank of the BRICS. As well as this, he undertook a visit to the BRICS Centre of Fudan University.
