The director of the BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio, Marta Fernández, and researcher Ana Garcia participated, on April 16, in the inaugural meeting of the G20 think tank engagement group (T20), informally organized by a consortium of think tanks based in Washington, D.C., notably the Brookings Institution.

Held in the context of the United States’ presidency of the G20, the meeting aimed to launch an informal T20 initiative focused on the continuity of the global network of think tanks and the production of evidence-based recommendations to support G20 discussions in a context of global uncertainties.

The meeting brought together experts and institutions from various countries to discuss thematic priorities and contribute to the collective construction of agendas and policy notes, strengthening international cooperation and the circulation of qualified knowledge within the framework of global governance.
