BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with China’s Guangdong Institute for International Strategies (GIIS).

The BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio has signed an agreement with the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies (GIIS), a think tank affiliated with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China.

Established in 2009, GIIS focuses its activities on the fields of international strategy, economic development, global governance, and international cooperation, bringing together academics, diplomats, and experts to produce academic studies and formulate public policies.

Through this agreement, BPC/PUC-Rio and GIIS hope to strengthen academic collaboration between the institutions by promoting student and researcher exchanges, developing joint projects, and organizing events and meetings focused on topics of mutual interest, with a special focus on BRICS dynamics and relations between Brazil and China.
