The Director of the BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio, Marta Fernández, participated in academic activities at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Salvador.

Within the framework of the BRICS Salvador Summer School, organized by NEPBRICS, the lecture “BRICS+ and the Challenge of Social Inequality” was given, dedicated to discussing social inequalities in the context of transformations in the international order and the role of the BRICS+.

It also included the inaugural lecture of the semester for the Postgraduate Program in International Relations at UFBA, entitled “Crisis of the International Order and the Challenges for the BRICS+”, alongside Haroldo Ramanzini Júnior (UnB), with mediation by Daniel Aragão (UFBA).

These activities reinforce the academic dialogue between the BRICS Policy Center and institutions dedicated to reflecting on global governance and the role of the Global South.
