Industrial Policy and International Cooperation: Brazil’s Opportunities and Challenges in the Face of New International Trends
This study was developed within the framework of cooperation with the Global South Research Center (China), in dialogue with the China Institute for Knowledge Development (CIKD), and is part of a broader series of comparative reports on countries of the Global South available on the GSRC platform, addressing different national trajectories of industrial policy and international cooperation.
In the Brazilian case, the report analyzes opportunities and challenges of industrial policy in a context of global transformations, geopolitical tensions, energy transition, and reconfiguration of global value chains, with special attention to the possibilities of international cooperation.
The report was prepared by Marta Fernández, Ana Saggioro Garcia, Maria Elena Rodriguez, and Lucas Carames, researchers at the BRICS Policy Center / PUC-Rio.
