The BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio participated in the “G20 South Africa” in activities linked to the T20 (Think 20)

The BPC/PUC-Rio sent a team of female researchers to the G20 held in South Africa. On this occasion, our researchers participated in various Side Events linked to the Think 20 (T20).

On November 12, the BRICS Policy Center launched the book “G20 in Brazil and South Africa: Priorities, Agendas and Voices of the Global South”, edited by BPC researcher Ana Saggioro Garcia, Marta Fernández, Director of BPC/PUC-Rio, and Siphamandla Zondi, Director of IPATC (Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation).

Furthermore, they participated in the event “Bridging Blocs: The Global South, BRICS and Multilateral Reform in a Changing Order”. The event was structured around two main axes: the first aimed to reflect on the expansion of BRICS and the potential opportunities for economic and technological cooperation, as well as possibilities for alignment with the G20 agenda. The second focused on the United Nations and multilateralism.

The e-book “G20 in Brazil and South Africa: Priorities, Agendas and Voices of the Global South” is available for download and reading on the BRICS Policy Center website.
