BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio Holds 12th Edition of Café com BRICS
The 12th edition of Café com BRICS took place on October 16. Unlike previous editions, this event was held in partnership with Climate Reality. It featured three guest speakers: David Tsai, coordinator of SEEG at the Climate Observatory; Janaína Pinto, collaborating researcher at OIMC and LABMUNDO-Rio; and Thuane Nascimento, executive director of PerifaConnection.
The event’s theme was “Towards COP30: Brazil’s NDC and the Global Stocktake”, and throughout the discussion, topics included the criteria for assessing the adequacy of NDCs, the political feasibility of implementing more ambitious environmental targets, and the need for public engagement in shaping agendas that promote climate justice.
