Ana Garcia,  professor at the UFRRJ and researcher at the BPC/PUC-Rio, gave an interview to Sputnik Brasil for an article on “Multipolarity under attack: Does the US want to isolate Brazil from the BRICS with so much pressure?”
In the interview, the professor highlighted that, with the exception of the Bolsonaro administration, Brazilian foreign policy has followed a multi-alignment strategy, seeking to maintain good relations with both major powers and emerging countries.
Among other topics, the researcher emphasized that the tariff pressure imposed by the US comes at a time when Brazil is trying to adopt a less submissive stance toward Washington, which, paradoxically, has brought the country even closer to strategic allies like the BRICS.
