
Christian Lyrion de Barros Fontão
Master’s student in International Relations at the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio), in the field of Globalization, Governance, and Development. Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA), with Academic Honors. Finalist and winner of the second edition of the CAPES University Talent Award (2022). Associate Researcher at the Center for Research on Hydrogen Policy and Geopolitics (HGPol) and the Latin American Observatory of Energy Geopolitics (OLAGE), as well as a member of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN). His research interests include foreign policy analysis, international development cooperation, climate finance, energy transition, hydrogen, climate justice, global governance, political ecology, international political economy, and energy geopolitics, with a special focus on the role of Brazil, BRICS+, and the Global South in building a just, safe, and sustainable energy transition.
