The researcher from the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio, Ana Saggioro Garcia, took part in the Capacity-Building Seminar on Addressing Climate Change in BRICS Countries, organized by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China (NAFGA). The invitation was extended in partnership with the Chinese Consulate in Rio and the CIPÓ Platform

In partnership with the CIPÓ Platform, the researcher from the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio, Ana Saggioro Garcia, participated in the Capacity-Building Seminar on Addressing Climate Change in BRICS Countries, held from July 3 to 9, with activities in Beijing and in Hebei Province, China. The experience included programs on forest conservation integrated with poverty alleviation and economic modernization initiatives. Furthermore, the researcher notes that there are many contradictions and challenges, but learning and exchange are essential to understanding China’s place in the world and how Brazil can better benefit from this cooperation.
