Director of the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio, Marta Fernández, participated in the AMSUR Dialogues “17th BRICS Summit – Challenges and Possibilities” promoted by the AMSUR Institute.

The Director of the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio, Marta Fernández, took part in the panel “BRICS – Challenges and Possibilities” organized by the AMSUR Institute during the 17th BRICS Summit, held in Rio de Janeiro. Professor Marta emphasized that the world is undergoing a power transition, with the BRICS acting as emerging poles of influence in contrast to traditional hegemonic powers. She reinforced the importance of maintaining the national sovereignty of member states while promoting partnerships, such as shared access to technology and food security, based on mutual respect rather than imposition.
