9th edition of Coffee with BRICS

On June 12, the BRICS Policy Center’s Socio-Environmental Platform held the 9th edition of Coffee with BRICS.
The event, which is a chat with an afternoon coffee, was attended by Gabriel Dantas, international advisor to the organization Geledés Instituto da Mulher Negra. The theme of the debate was “What’s at stake at the 4th Financing for Development Conference?”, promoting a discussion about FFD4, which will take place in Seville (Spain) between June 30 and July 3.
During his speech, Gabriel stressed the importance of highlighting racial and feminist agendas together in the international community’s debates on topics such as economic development and combating climate change. In addition, Gabriel addressed the topic of historical reparations, demonstrating that processes of exploitation that took place in the past still negatively influence countries that were colonized, and argued that this is an agenda that is inseparable from the agendas of climate, social and economic justice.
