Conflicts and Tensions in Africa Nowadays

The new edition of BPC Opines features a video discussing three current and relevant topics in African media: Qatar’s role as a mediator in the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the referendum on Guinea’s new Constitution, and the African Union’s attempt to “save” the Peace Agreement in South Sudan.

Professor Alexandre dos Santos, an Africa specialist at IRI/PUC-Rio, is the guest of this edition and, in his remarks, seeks to clarify some of the conflicts that have recently impacted the continent.
