Tomorrow, December 11, at 10 a.m., the BRICS Policy Center will hold the launch of Caderno para Entender o BRICS. The event will take place at the BPC headquarters, at Rua das Laranjeiras, 307 (Casas Casadas), Rio de Janeiro.
The event will feature two panel discussions. The first will deal with the next BRICS Summit, with the participation of Minister Paula Barboza (MRE), Walter Desiderá (IPEA) and Graciela Rodriguez (REBRIP). The second panel will feature the authors of the booklet, Marta Fernández, director of the BPC, Maria Elena Rodriguez, deputy director, and Renan Canellas, research assistant at the BPC.
The launch of the Handbook for Understanding the BRICS is an important milestone in the mission of the BRICS Policy Center (BPC) to democratize knowledge about world politics and promote dialogue between governments, academia and civil society. The book offers an accessible and in-depth analysis of the BRICS, its trajectory, functioning and strategic role in global governance, highlighting its contribution to a fairer and more equitable world. With Brazil assuming a central role in the group’s agenda, the Booklet also reflects the interconnection between BRICS and other multilateral platforms, such as the G20, and seeks to engage various sectors in building a more inclusive and less unequal future.
The event will take place in person, and we ask that you confirm your attendance by emailing: bpc@bricspolicycenter.org
