Opportunities and Challenges for Promoting Sustainable, Resilient and Inclusive Infrastructure in Environmentally Sensitive Regions
We are pleased to invite you to a self-managed activity at the G20 Social Summit on the theme of Sustainable, Inclusive, and Resilient Infrastructure in Environmentally Sensitive Regions: Opportunities and Challenges. The session is organized by the GT Infrastructure and Socio-Environmental Justice group in partnership with the BRICS Policy Center of PUC-RJ, Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (DAR) from Peru, and PROCAM/IEE/USP.
The activity will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Brasília time) at Ground Floor 1, Kobra Space, Praça Mauá, downtown Rio de Janeiro (G20 Social Summit area).
The presentation will foster an important debate among researchers, civil society representatives, and government officials on strengthening tools and decision-making processes in the strategic planning of transport and energy infrastructure, addressing issues of transparency, social participation, impacts, and socio-environmental rights.
