She commented on the events of the summit, highlighting the final declaration, in which the commitment to a fairer and more equitable system of global governance can be seen. One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was unilateral sanctions, as well as the militarization and securitization of the dollar. According to the professor’s analysis, during the summit there was promotion of payment system mechanisms that could replace SWIFT, as well as the growing use of local currencies in international transactions, which was reinforced by Rousseff’s management of the New Development Bank (NDB).
