The director of the Institute of International Relations, Professor Isabel Siqueira, and the director of the BRICS Policy Center, Professor Marta Fernández, met on June 12 with Shenali Rajaratnam and Ashley Portillo, who lead the “Power of Women” (POW) Project, an initiative of the NGO “We are the hope”. Both are organizing the second “Digital Power of Women” Conference, which will be held in parallel to the G20 Summit in November this year, based on the engagement of civil society and other actors seeking to disseminate and make policy recommendations regarding the digital space. On that occasion, Marta, Isabel, Shenali and Ashley also talked about joint initiatives aimed at democratizing knowledge about the G20 and the importance of mainstreaming gender debates on the group’s agenda.
