Isabel Rocha de Siqueira

Adjunct Professor and Director at the Institute of International Relations (IRI), PUC-Rio, and researcher at the BRICS Policy Center. I have a PhD in International Relations from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, with a full doctoral scholarship on merit from CAPES, a Master’s Degree (MSc) in International Relations from IRI/PUC-Rio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from PUC-Rio. In 2019, I was awarded the title of Young Scientist of Our State (JCNE) by Faperj. My research areas include international development and cooperation, the intersection between peace and development, Agenda 2030, data and development policies, feminist and Southern contributions to rethinking data policy and its impacts on solidarity, responsibility and coexistence. I currently coordinate the Methodology Laboratory at IRI/PUC-Rio (postgraduate) and I am the coordinator of Scientific Initiation (undergraduate) at IRI. I founded and coordinate the Critical Approaches to Development network (ACD-network). I also co-coordinate the Security and Development in the Global South (SEED) research line at the BRICS Policy Center. I am a member of the executive board and co-founder of the Digital Humanities Lab at PUC-Rio. I serve as reviews editor of the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding (JISB) and am on the editorial board of PARISS and International Politics Reviews. Recent publications include reports commissioned by g7+ and UNOSSC, a book authored by Routledge, books published by Editora PUC-Rio and articles in the journals Global Governance, International Political Sociology and Third World Quarterly.
