Workshop to validate draft primers for understanding the G20

On June 12, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm, IRI/PUC-Rio held the Validation Workshop for draft primers to understand the G20. The workshop was held in hybrid mode: in person at the BRICS Policy Center and virtually via zoom.

The production of the booklets is part of the undergraduate course IRI1517 Methodologies and practices of research and extension, offered at IRI/PUC-Rio by lecturer Victória Santos with the collaboration of trainee lecturer Luísa Cazé and tutor Ainã Barreto.
The students are producing materials related to the following themes, which have been investigated by BPC researchers in collaboration with external partners as part of the T20 agenda: 1) Digital transformation; 2) Care economy; 3) Sustainable infrastructure; and 4) Climate justice.

At the workshop, the first drafts of the booklets were presented and discussed. The activity included the participation of Marta Fernandez (BPC and IRI/PUC-Rio), who presented the process of producing Policy Briefs from the BPC for the T20; and Raquel Santos (IRI/PUC-Rio), who spoke about the preparation of the Booklet for Understanding the G20.

Also taking part were Beatriz Mattos and Vinícius Lopes (Plataforma Cipó); Fayga Moreira (Observatório da Diversidade Cultural); Thallita Lima (CESeC); Luísa Cruz Lobato (IRI/PUC-Rio and Laboratório de Humanidades Digitais); and Maria Beatriz Mello (Plataforma Socioambiental and IRI/PUC-Rio), among others, who made valuable contributions to the production of the final versions of the booklets, which will be disseminated by IRI/PUC-Rio.
