What is the G20, the forum that meets in November in Brazil?

The G20 is a group that was born after a sequence of global economic crises that took place in the 1990s, but now also encompasses other global debates, such as trade, corruption, health, environmental and digital issues. Since December 2023, Brazil has held the presidency of the forum, which meets in November in Rio de Janeiro.

The BRICS Policy Center participates in the G20 discussions through the T20, the engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centers, which contribute with recommendations for the formulation of public policies. The institution is co-leader of Task Force 3.
