Webinar BRICS+ in Dialogue

At the 15th BRICS Summit, which took place in South Africa in August 2023, it was announced that six new members would be added to the group. With the exception of Argentina, which declined the invitation, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Iran joined the group on January 1, 2024. Heading towards the 16th BRICS Summit in October, which will be held in Kazan, Russia, the “BRICS+ in Dialogue” event proposes a conversation with researchers from the new BRICS+ members, seeking to understand their perspectives on joining the grouping on key issues such as global governance, sustainable development, energy security and economic cooperation. The dialog also aims to explore deeper and more effective forms of collaboration within the enlarged bloc, promoting greater integration and synergy between member countries.
