The researcher from the BRICS Policy Center, Ana Garcia, participated in the “Dialogue on Brazil’s BRICS Presidency with Civil Society.”

On March 24, the professor and researcher from the BRICS Policy Center, Ana Saggioro Garcia, participated in the “Dialogue on Brazil’s BRICS Presidency with Civil Society,” a panel organized by the Ministry of Finance at the Palácio da Fazenda in Rio de Janeiro.

The event aimed to present the context and structure of Brazil’s BRICS presidency. Some of the key topics discussed included economic development and greater integration into the international system; strengthening cooperation among Global South countries, with BRICS as the main facilitator; partnerships for social, economic, and environmental development; coordination of reforms in the international monetary and financial system, including strengthening the New Development Bank (NDB) and the Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA); as well as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence regulation.
