The new global chessboard and emerging countries: what role for Brazil?

MAPI coordinators and BPC researchers Paulo Esteves and Carlos Frederico Coelho have written an opinion piece for Estadão. The text discusses the transformations that permeate the distribution of power in international politics and their impacts in the areas of international security, climate change, international trade and the human rights protection regime. The article also shows the results of research carried out by the BRICS Policy Center in partnership with Germany’s Körber Stiftung, India’s Gateway House and South Africa’s Institute of International Affairs, on the perception and positioning strategies of these countries in an increasingly polarized world.
