The Instituto de Relações Internacionais and the Global South Unit for Mediation (GSUM) held the open class “Cosmopraxis: relational methods for a pluriversal IR” with Amaya Querejazu, from the Universidad de Antioquia.
On Friday, August 16, the Institute of International Relations and its Global South Unit for Mediation (GSUM) held the open class “Cosmopraxis: relational methods for a pluriversal IR” with Amaya Querejazu, from the Universidad de Antioquia. The class was mediated by Prof. Marta Fernandez (BPC and IRI/PUC-Rio).
In this open class, Querejazu discussed the contribution of concepts such as cosmopraxis, pluriversality and relationality to a more plural study of International Relations. As he demonstrated, bringing ontological questions back to IR has allowed us to open up discussions about plurality and difference in terms of the coexistence of worlds and realities, contributing to the transformation of ontological conflicts.
This class is part of the calendar of celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the GSUM, a project of the BRICS Policy Center, with the support of CAPES PrInt PUC-Rio (Conflict Transformation and International Mediation project) and FAPERJ Emergentes.
