The Ensured project has published the CIVICUS Report 2024, which provides an impressive analysis of the current global situation: we live in an era marked by conflicts, repression and crises that are testing civil society like never before. And in 2023, despite the growing challenges, civil society showed resilience, making a difference and continuing the fight for human rights and social justice.

The report points out that international institutions are failing amid the misguided decisions of states, exposing the weaknesses of the International System. However, as shown, civil society has solutions to reform global governance, but is often excluded from the decision-making tables. The CIVICUS Report points out that it is time for leaders to listen to and work with civil society to tackle global crises such as growing conflicts, climate change and inequality.
