The coordinator of the Laboratory for Cooperation and Development Financing (LACID) at the BRICS Policy Center, Maria Elena Rodriguez, conducted the second edition of the webinar “BRICS+ in Dialogue” on October 18.

The coordinator of the BRICS Policy Center’s Development Cooperation and Financing Laboratory (LACID), Maria Elena Rodriguez, organized the second edition of the “BRICS+ in Dialogue” webinar on October 18. The event proposed a conversation with researchers from the new BRICS+ members, seeking to understand their perspectives on key issues as a result of joining the grouping, as well as exploring deeper and more effective forms of collaboration within the enlarged group, promoting greater integration and synergy between the member countries. The event was attended by Dareskedar Taye (Ethiopia) and Nourhan El-Sheikh (Egypt), who presented analyses of their respective countries’ accession to the grouping and pointed out challenges and possibilities for strengthening cooperation within the BRICS+ in areas such as global governance, sustainable development, energy transition and economic cooperation.
