The BRICS Policy Center of PUC-Rio participated in the “Second China–Latin American and Caribbean States Roundtable on Human Rights”, held on July 25, 2025, at the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi. The event was organized by the China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS), Renmin University of China (RUC), and São Paulo State University (UNESP), with support from the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY) and the Institute for Public Policy and International Relations of UNESP (IPPRI/UNESP).
The director of the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio, Marta Fernández, represented the center for the second consecutive year, presenting a talk titled “From the Amazon to Beijing: Intercultural Paths to Climate Justice and the Postponement of the End of the World”, during the thematic session on environment, climate, and human rights.
The participation of the BRICS Policy Center at PUC-Rio reaffirms its commitment to building plural and sustainable alternatives for the contemporary challenges of global governance.
