The BRICS Policy Center (BPC)/PUC-Rio participated in the workshop organized by the Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD) from China to discuss research reports on industrialization in the Global South, produced by colleagues from Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and other countries.

BPC/PUC-Rio is part of this research project, coordinated by CIKD, which analyzes the challenges and opportunities facing countries in the Global South in their industrialization processes. The study examines the impacts of global transformations—such as digitalization, the transition to a green economy, and new geopolitical dynamics—and proposes paths for public policies that favor sustainable growth.

BPC/PUC-Rio contributes to the project based on the Brazilian case study, with the participation of researchers Marta Fernández, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Ana Saggioro Garcia, and Lucas Carames.
