The BPC/PUC-Rio Socio-environmental Platform has just launched a new BPC Paper on Russia’s climate ambitions

The BRICS Policy Center’s Socio-environmental Platform (BPC/PUC-Rio) has just released a new BPC Paper on Russia’s climate ambition. The study presents an updated analysis considering the new round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), which establish targets until 2035.

The publication gathers the most recent information on how the country has positioned itself in the face of the climate crisis, taking into account its risks and vulnerabilities, and examines its emissions profile, as well as the main policies and initiatives aimed at mitigation, adaptation, long-term strategies, and just transition.
