T20 Summit in Buenos Aires

The T20 Summit 2018 took place on September 17th and 18th at the Kirchner Cultural Center in Buenos Aires and brought together leading think tanks, government officials from Argentina, representatives from international organizations and stakeholders from the business community.

Over 170 speakers took part in 54 sessions during the Summit, including the Director of BRICS Policy Center, Paulo Esteves, as well as experts from BPC’s partner institutions, such as the Institute for Global Dialogue and the German Development Institute.

The Summit was an opportunity to strengthen the discussions on relevant T20 community topics and to work on an independent network of think tanks. Some of the topics highlighted were climate change; food security and sustainable agriculture; the future of work and education in the digital age; gender economic equity; social cohesion, global governance and the future of politics; and international finance and economy.
