The BRICS towards Rio + 20: India
The concept of green economy is still very fluid and needs a formal definition, but it is consensus among the states that will attend the conference that this model should be based on economic and social development while guaranteeing environmental protection. The international institutional framework for its promotion, which in turn is central to the consolidation of sustainability at the global level, is a more delicate issue marked by dissent rather than consensus. In this BRICS Monitor we will briefly present the main points defended by the Republic of India in the National Inputs of India for Rio + 20.
