The BRICS on the road to COP 21
Between November 30 and December 12 of this year, the member states of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will meet in Paris to establish a new global agreement on climate change. The participation of emerging countries such as the BRICS is essential in this process, given the significant contribution of these nations to deepen the climate crisis. The proposal of this brief analysis is divided into five parts: the first provides a brief background of the process leading to COP 21 in Paris; the second deals with INDCs mitigation thematic point of view; the third deals with the INDCs from the perspective of financing and means of implementation; the fourth addresses the INDCs adaptation; and finally, the fifth section offers some recommendations to the Brazilian negotiators.
