This Fact Sheet brings together the main Chinese environmental guidelines for investments abroad. In recent years under the “Going Out” strategy, China’s foreign direct investment (FDI) activities have increased at significant rates. By the end of 2018, the total value of FDI from China had reached US$143 billion (MOFCOM, 2019), making it the second largest foreign investor in the world.
