The BRICS towards Rio+20: South Africa
In this BRICS Monitor, which closes a series of reports that summarize the positions and proposals suggested by the BRICS, we will analyze the document submitted by the Government of the Republic of South Africa entitled South African Inputs to the Preparatory Processes of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development3. In this document, the South African government expresses, quite clearly and in a non-combative way, the complementarity between the two aforementioned conferences and the remaining challenges to achieving sustainability as a global paradigm for development.
