COP 24 – Climate Change
The Socioenvironmental Radar is a monthly publication focusing on environmental news about the five BRICS countries. Each month a topic is chosen on a subject. In it’s 26th edition, the Socioenvironmental Radar analyses the results of the 24th Conference of Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
This edition provides an overall view of the initial expectations to the climate conference, presents an x-ray of COP 24, with the main negotiating topics and civil society participation. The final section points to the results of the summit, with a focus on issues relating to the follow up negotiating process of the Paris Agreement and its unfolding to COP 25, that will be held in Chile in 2019.
