BRICS Climate Ambition: Russia

With the new round of updates to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), which set targets for 2035, the BRICS Policy Center’s (BPC) Socio-environmental Platform presents a brief review of its study on Russia’s climate ambition. The new text gathers and analyzes the most recent information available on how Russia has positioned itself in the face of the climate crisis, considering its risks and vulnerabilities, as well as examining its NDCs, emissions profile, and main policies and initiatives related to mitigation, adaptation, long-term strategies, and just transition.
